This rectangular wooden plate has a beautiful rippled surface, carved by Japanese woodworker Tomokazu Furui.

The hand carved ripples and the grain of the wood surface makes each plate unique. The wood is cherry. The surface is double coated with a penetrating coat, then vegetable oil finished in order to improve the strength and durability of the plate. This also protects the plate from stains from oily foods. This practical rectangular shaped plate has a useful size. You can use it in multiple ways - from plates for bread, cheese, fish or meat, to a lunch platter.

This plate is also available in a smaller size. Get both plates to have a stylish, matched pair.

Mr Tomokazu carefully chooses the right materials and the correct part of the tree for his products. These careful choices enable the plate to be used for a long time.

Material: Cherry

Approximate Size: Length: 30.5cm (12") Width: 19cm (7.5") Height: 1cm (0.4")

Care: Avoid long periods of direct sunshine. Hand washing with soap, sponge and lukewarm water is recommended. After washing, wipe water immediately and air dry naturally. If the wood becomes too dry, you can oil the surface with any natural vegetable or nut oil, then pat dry. Do not use in microwave or dishwasher.

It is recommended to store the plate on edge so that both its front and back are exposed to the air in order to prevent warping. It may warp if it is stored in a flat position for a long time, especially if the room is air-conditioned. If you store the plate in a dish rack outside a cupboard, it is recommended to place the plate vertically in the rack.

Note: Size, shape, color may slightly differ from the actual product, as it is made by hand. Each product is unique and will slightly differ from the photo.
