This Azuma cotton bag is made from hand dyed cotton thread which is woven by Japanese textile designer and hand weaver Chika Nagamori. She dyes thread by hand for the bag and makes beautiful patterns using different colors for warp and weft. This bag is both hand made and a one-off item.

The lovely color of the material perfectly matches the simple shape of traditional Japanese Azuma bags. The bag is lightweight with a soft texture. The bag is perfect to carry small items such as a wallet, a phone and your cosmetics. You can wear it on your shoulder or arm. It has one inside pocket to help organise small items such as keys and phone.

The bag uses two different cotton threads. Egyptian cotton for warp to apply lustre to the material. For weft, high quality supima cotton is used for softness as well as for strength. Cotton fabric in a beige color is used for the inside of the bag.

Chika Nagamori is a dedicated textile artist and is passionate about color. She creates her own color thread and weaves them by hand. Her brightly colored collection makes your day brighter and happier.
